The Bills Observer: Week 4

Post by Sliq_Hazard on Thu Mar 03, 2016 1:13 pm

Tyrod Who?

It looks like the Bills have finally found their quarterback in former Ravens 2011 6th round draft pick Tyrod Taylor. Tyrod has always carried a chip on his shoulder after the draft and has used it for his motivation from day to day and its finally time he gets recognition for it after leading the Bills to an impressive 4-0 start.

The Bills came into week 4 as the favourites going up against a slightly banged up Giants outfit.

The Bills started the game off in typical fashion.... run, run, run and they did exactly that through lead running back LeSean McCoy. Karlos Williams and Tyrod Taylor also had some timely carries.

The Giants couldn't stop the rushing attack and yet again Tyrod Taylor was tearing up the defense with precise passsing. Whilst he threw for minimal yards he did manage to throw three touchdown passes to help guide the Bills to a 45-13 win over the Giants.

Lets take a look at some of the stats!

Bills Player Stats:

Passing:

Tyrod "methodical" Taylor threw the ball 17 times for 13 completions, 192 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Rushing:

A bulk of the heavy work was done by LeSean McCoy who had 19 carries for 159 yards and a score. Karlos Williams also chipped in with his powerful running resulting in 5 carries for 37 yards and a touchdown.

Receiving:

The receiving game by league standards was quite yet again but it is something to be expected with this Bills outfit. Charles Clay lead the team with 3 receptions for 50 yards, but it was Orson Charles who got credited with 2 touchdowns off of 2 receptions for 26 yards. Marquise Goodwin also managed to haul in 1 reception for 51 yards and the score.

Defense:

The Bills defense put out another strong performance as they shutdown the Giants. Veteran safety Jeromy Miles lead the way with his 8 tackles on the day, the defense had a day recording tackles for a loss ( 6 individual tackles for a loss). There was only one sack on the day and that came with a two man contribution between Jerry Hughes and Sam Montgomery. Zaviar Gooden also added an interception to his tally.

Injuries:
MLB Zaviar Gooden, was injured after making an interception and will be out 5 weeks with a hamstring tear.

Join us next week as the Bills take on the Titans in what should be an entertaining game.
