Falcons Fall To 1-1.  Giants - 24  Falcons - 21

Coming back from injury, and making his NFL season start, Matt Ryan had a respectable day. Going 16/28 for 310 yards, 3 touchdowns, and a couple interceptions. He certainly had the "opening day jitters" in week 2. Hopefully, he gets into more of a rhythm as the season continues.

Devonta Freeman struggled against the hard defensive line of the Giants. Carried the ball 20 times, for 41 yards and kept out of the endzone. Look for some extra work with the offensive line this week to get this back to where it needs to be.

Buzz around the league, is the return of Harry Douglas to the Atlanta Falcons. He did catch one pass for a touchdown, but it was Julio Jones with 7 catches, 181 yards, and a touchdown who led the team. Percy Harvin did play the entire game, where he caught 4 passes for 80 yards and a score.

Defensively for the Falcons, still improving. Light years from years previous. Mario Williams and Vic Beasley shared a sack, Kemal Ishmael grabbed 2 interceptions, Robert Alford (seen in rear of picture) forced a fumble. Allowing 238 yards in the air, and 30 yards on the ground. With the secondary improving, and the front 7 bringing pressure, this defense has the making to rival the steel curtain in the upcoming years.

Next week's primetime game, is a matchup that would like to be seen by all.
